The First District Appellate Courtroom of Illinois held {that a} man who was completely injured after attending a celebration at an Airbnb property can’t be compelled to arbitration, in accordance with Airbnb’s arbitration settlement, as he hadn’t been the one that rented the property.
In response to the Sept. 22 opinion, Andrew Peterson, whose leg was amputated beneath the knee after falling at an Airbnb property, wasn’t obligated to arbitrate his swimsuit towards the corporate, as his pal was the one who had rented the property.
