WASHINGTON — Paperwork with categorised markings have been found in former Vice President Mike Pence’s Indiana House final week, based on his legal professional.
“The extra information look like a small variety of paperwork bearing categorised markings that have been inadvertently boxed and transported to the private dwelling of the previous Vice President on the finish of the final Administration,” Pence’s lawyer, Greg Jacob, informed the Nationwide Archives in a letter final week.

He stated that “Pence was unaware of the existence of delicate or categorised paperwork at his private residence” and that he “understands the excessive significance of defending delicate and categorised info and stands prepared and keen to cooperate absolutely with the Nationwide Archives and any applicable inquiry.”
A Justice Division spokesman declined to remark Tuesday, and a lawyer for Pence didn’t instantly reply to an e-mail searching for additional elaboration.
Pence informed the Related Press in August that he didn’t take any categorised info with him when he left workplace.
Requested immediately if he had retained any categorised info upon leaving workplace, he stated, “No, to not my information.”
