The Maine Supreme Judicial Court vacated a district courtroom’s ruling awarding sole custody to at least one mother or father Thursday, clarifying the procedural route a celebration should object to a Justice of the Peace’s allegedly inadequate factfinding, in addition to the choices that decrease courts have when such an objection is made.
Jennifer M. McCoy appealed Biddeford District Choose Lea-Anne Sutton’s judgment adopting the ultimate order of Household Regulation Justice of the Peace Lindsay Cadwallader that ordered McCoy’s divorce from William Daniel and awarded him the only parental rights of their 4-year-old son.
