Disbarred South Carolina lawyer Alex Murdaugh won’t face the loss of life penalty when he’s tried subsequent month for the capturing deaths of his spouse and youthful son in 2021.

Murdaugh was the chief of a distinguished upcountry South Carolina household whose patriarchs had been attorneys for hundreds of years. However his life started unraveling final yr, starting with the deaths of his wife, Maggie, and son Paul.

Murdaugh surrendered to police after the botched assisted suicide and has been behind bars ever since.
