One other BigLaw agency delays begin dates for some associates

Perkins Coie has pushed again begin dates for some first-year associates, in line with two revealed studies.
The delayed date applies to all incoming first-year associates, aside from these within the agency’s mental property follow, Bloomberg Law studies.

Incoming first-year associates with a delayed begin date will start work on the regulation agency Jan. 16. Delayed associates will obtain a $15,000 stipend.

Perkins Coie is amongst a number of corporations which have delayed begin dates till January for incoming associates. They’re: Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe; Cooley; and Fenwick & West.
Perkins Coie announced in February that it laid off 58 enterprise professionals throughout its U.S. workplaces.
Orrick is shedding about 40 legal professionals and 50 workers members. And Reed Smith laid off about 2% of its world workforce, affecting legal professionals and workers members.
