One other BigLaw agency says any affiliate job cuts are because of efficiency evaluations

Ropes & Grey has told Law.com that any job cuts being made on the legislation agency are the results of efficiency evaluations.
Legislation.com contacted Ropes & Grey after seeing “chatter” about affiliate layoffs on the agency on social media websites, equivalent to Reddit and Fishbowl.
“The quarterly efficiency administration course of is part of the conventional course [of] our enterprise operations,” Ropes & Grey stated in a press release supplied to Legislation.com. “We proceed to make use of our similar merits-based analysis course of.”
Kirkland & Ellis also attributed affiliate job cuts to the efficiency overview course of in a press release earlier this month.
Many corporations are reviewing head rely amid slower demand, particularly in company practices, business observers advised Legislation.com. “Aggressive” efficiency reviewed are one possibility utilized by some corporations.
