A Boston-based private harm legal professional has been briefly suspended from practising regulation, pending additional disciplinary proceedings, after state bar counsel asserted that he’d misappropriated tons of of hundreds of {dollars} in shopper funds to assist his playing dependancy and to repay money owed.
The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Courtroom affirmed a brief suspension of lawyer Benjamin Behnam Tariri that had been beforehand imposed by a single high-court justice, writing that there was “ample proof … from which the one justice may have concluded that [Tariri] posed a menace to current and potential shoppers,” quoting a 1987 state ethics opinion in Matter of Kenney.
