John F. “Jack” Lubben III, 80, a longtime felony protection lawyer in Dallas with a memorable deep voice, died Jan. 24 at his dwelling in Austin.
He was the grandson of John Lubben, the enterprise associate of The Dallas Morning News founder G. B. Dealey. The Information was based in 1885.
Lubben was born in Houston and raised in McAllen. He lived in Dallas for greater than 40 years, till he and his spouse, Ann Logan-Lubben, moved to Austin in 2013 to be nearer to household.
Logan-Lubben stated her husband was impressed by his father, a doctor, to do volunteer work and by his grandfather’s newspaper background to check historical past and political science on the College of Texas. He went to regulation faculty at St. Mary’s College and graduated in 1968.
“His grandfather was an accountant and apparently ok with numbers that G.B. Dealey allowed him to assist him open The Dallas Morning Information,” his spouse stated.
