The used-car retailer CarMax and the Maryland Legal professional Common’s Workplace not too long ago reached a $240,000 settlement for the corporate’s alleged failure to repair or notify prospects about open remembers on automobiles they bought.
The Maryland Legal professional Common’s Workplace accused CarMax Auto Superstores Inc. of violating the Maryland Shopper Safety Act, Md. Code Ann., Com Legislation Sections 13-101 via 13-501, for allegedly failing to reveal open security remembers on the used automobiles it supplied or offered, in response to a statement this week by the workplace.
