A Sovetsky District Court docket in Kazan, Russia extended on Thursday the pre-trial detention of Alsu Kurmasheva, a Russian-American journalist who stands accused of violating a regulation on “international brokers.” The Kazan court docket previously decided the journalist’s pre-trial detention would final till February 5, although this has now been prolonged by two months to April 5.
