Solicitor Vicky McCarthy Keane, who publicly spoke and wrote about her battle with motor neurone illness (MND), has handed away.
Mrs Keane died on Wednesday 28 December 2022 and her funeral occurred on Monday at St Joseph’s Church in Rathwire, Co Westmeath.
Initially from Co Limerick, Mrs Keane studied on the College of Limerick and certified as a solicitor in 1999 after coaching with David Brophy Solicitors. She later accomplished an LLM at College School Dublin.
She was identified with MND in November 2017. 5 years later, in November 2021, she printed a ebook of poetry, Via My Eyes, which was written with eye-gaze expertise.
